X Gravity would employ a unique escapement of my own design, developed from the geometry of gravity escapements.

The mechanism uses tandem linked wheels with cam surfaces to reset the gravity arms at each impulse of the pendulum. The pendulum itself is suspended on anti-friction wheels, similar to those used by John Harrison in his early sea-going clocks.

The example illustrated would be automatically wound, although a manually wound version is also possible.

The case would be finished in piano black with gold-plated trim. Interior lighting above the clock movement would illuminate the mechanism, emphasizing the sculptural geometry and animated action of the escapement.
